MOSCOW, December 21 (RIA Novosti) - The State Duma, Russia's lower house of parliament, voted Wednesday to postpone the second reading of a new version of the bill on advertising until spring.

Liberal Democratic Party member Alexei Mitrofanov proposed the bill be taken off the agenda since it called for changes to outdoor advertising "when no one would control its content."

State Duma First Vice Speaker Lyubov Sliska supported Mitrofanov's proposal. "We have made this bill in favor of the advertisers," she said, adding that a working group should be set up to finalize the bill.
