NOVOSIBIRSK, August 18 (RIA Novosti) - Presidential Envoy in the Siberian Federal District Anatoly Kvashnin submitted two candidates for Altai governor to the presidential staff.
The candidates are head of the Altai territory's forestry agency Yakov Ishutin and the chief of the state service department of the presidential staff, Alexander Karlin, Kvashnin's deputy Lyubov Burda said.
Former Altai governor Mikhail Yevdokimov was killed in a car accident on August 7, 2005.
