MOSCOW, July 8 (RIA Novosti) - Russian Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov and his Spanish counterpart Jose Bono will meet in Madrid to discuss a joint military exercise in 2006 and the signing of an agreement on cooperation between their ministries, a source in the Russian Defense Ministry said Friday.

Ivanov will leave for Spain on July 10. The minister also plans to meet with King of Spain Juan Carlos during his visit, the source said.

The source continued that the meeting's agenda would include "the development of military and military-technical cooperation, prospects for the participation of Russian warships in a joint Russian-Spanish military exercise next year, the possible signing of an agreement on military cooperation between the two countries' defense ministries, as well as other issues in the field of the military-industrial complex."

According to the source, the talks will particularly focus on the fight against organized crime, drugs trafficking and terrorism in the light of the July 7 tragedy in London.
