Colombia’s President Santos kicks off UK state visit discussing the FARC peace deal and economic ties with post-Brexit Britain; and, concerns grow over the effectiveness of the EU-Turkey migration deal.

The Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos, began a three day state visit to the UK yesterday.  Speaking to the British Parliament, he highlighted what he sees as the close relationship between the two countries, praised the UK's involvement in the peace process with the FARC, and promised greater economic ties post-Brexit.

The EU-Turkey migrant deal is only seven months old, but there are already growing concerns over the effectiveness of the deal, with officials in Brussels becoming increasingly frustrated with delays in sending refugees and migrants back to Turkey.
