    Washington state passes public healthcare option; Duterte allies win big in Philipines; Rep. Rashida Tlaib attacked over Holocaust comments

    On this episode of "By Any Means Necessary" hosts Eugene Puryear and Sean Blackmon are joined by Dr. Bill Honigman, California State Coordinator and Co-Coordinator of the Healthcare as a Human Right Issue Organizing Team for Progressive Democrats of America to talk about Washington state passing the Cascade Care plan, a public health care option going into effect in 2021.

    In the second segment, Eugene and Sean are joined by Adrian Bonifacio, chairperson for Anakbayan-USA to talk about the election results from the Philippine's midterm elections, the lengths President Duterte went to quiet opposition parties ahead of the election, if a mass movement will organize to keep Duterte in check, US military presence in and around the Philipines, and the ongoing conflicts in Mindanao and other parts of the country.

    In a special third segment of "By Any Means Necessary" Eugene Puryear and Sean Blackmon are joined by Charlotte L. Kates, International Coordinator, Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network, to talk about the attacks on Congressmember Rashida Tlaib after comments around the Holocaust were taken out of context, the efficacy of the BDS movement to highlight Israeli crimes, the plight of Palestinian prisoners, and the attacks against BDS activists and supporters.

    Later in the show, Eugene and Sean are joined by researcher Sam Menefee-Libey to talk about the police murder of Pamela Shantay Turner, a pregnant woman, outside of Houston, Texas, a new study showing no relationship between undocumented immigrants and crime in the US, if the US-China trade war will impact the 2020 elections, the earlier and earlier campaign cycles, Elizabeth Warren rejecting a Fox News townhall, and the legacy of "Manufacturing Consent" by Edward Herman and Noam Chomsky.
