Cooperation between Moscow and Beijing is a pillar of global stability, according to Russia's leader Vladimir Putin.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russia-China collaboration on the global arena is a key contributing factor to stability in world affairs, Russian President Vladimir Putin said ahead of his visit to China on June 25.

"Today, the very fact that China and Russia collaborate in international affairs contributes to the stability of world affairs," Putin told the Xinhua news agency on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

"We are in constant contact and we consult on global and regional issues. Since we consider each other close allies, naturally, we always listen to our partners and take into account each other’s interests," Putin added.
