MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The international media forum is taking place in Russia's capital on June 6-7. It is hosted by the Rossiya Segodnya International Information Agency and is part of the 75th anniversary of the Soviet Information Bureau. Media experts from over 30 countries of the world take part in the forum.
"No media has monopoly on information, because the audience no longer thinks that media is the only source of information," Volin said, stressing that information has long been coming from various sources.
Another trend he pointed at is the desire of public to participate in the creation of information.
"The information today much depends on the way it is delivered, and the technical means of delivery," Volin said.
"Despite the diversity of players, only big media outlets can create interesting and competitive content. Small new media outlets only multiply the information, but cannot be the sources of information, " he said.
