GENEVA (Sputnik) — Syrian authorities have noted provocative statements coming from the Syrian opposition's Saudi-backed High Negotiations Committee, head of the Syrian government delegation at the Geneva talks Bashar Jaafari said Monday.
"We have heard irresponsible and provocative statements by some members of the so-called Saudi delegation, calling for attacks on the Syrian army," Jaafari said.
"It is no coincidence at all that this Israeli escalation was accompanied by irresponsible statements by the so-called Saudi delegation at the intra-Syrian talks here in Geneva," he noted.
