GENEVA (Sputnik) — The delegation of the Syrian government led by Permanent Representative to the United Nations Bashar Jaafari arrived in Geneva on Friday to take part in a new round of intra-Syria talks, a Sputnik correspondent reported.

The delegation's plane landed in Geneva at 11:12 a.m. local time (09:12 GMT).

The arrival of the government's delegation means that all the participants of the talks gathered in the Swiss city. Later in the day, Jaafari is expected to meet with UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura, who held meetings in the past two days with the Syrian opposition's High Negotiations Committee (HNC) delegation, as well as the Moscow-Cairo opposition group.
