    Putin to Nikolic: I Hope Russia-Serbia Ties to Develop Positively

    Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed hopes that relations between Moscow and Belgrade would further develop positively.

    MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian President Vladimir Putin said Thursday Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev will visit Serbia in the near future.

    "I hope that we will continue moving in a positive direction [in Russia-Serbia relations]…In that respect I would like to mention again…the planned visit of the Russian prime minister to Serbia in the near future, hopefully, very soon," Putin said at a meeting with Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic in Moscow.
