New Anti-NATO, EU Coalition Formed in Serbia Ahead of Elections
BELGRADE (Sputnik) — The early nationwide polls are expected to take place on April 24, after Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic called for a snap nationwide vote in mid-January seeking a full four-year mandate to complete a state reform process.

Under Serbian law, elections must be held within 60 days after their announcement.

The much-anticipated decree follows Belgrade’s recent deal with NATO on the cooperation, signed February 19, which became the discussion topic within Serbia and caused a series of protests across the country, as well as calls for a referendum.
