Syrian Opposition Says Will Not Attend Geneva Talks on Friday

Deputy head of the Syrian opposition delegation at the intra-Syrian talks in Geneva, George Sabra, said that the delegation of the Syrian opposition would head for Geneva "only after all obstacles that hamper the start of the negotiation process have been eliminated."

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Deputy head of the Syrian opposition delegation at the intra-Syrian talks in Geneva, George Sabra, said Thursday the delegation will not travel to Geneva to attend the beginning of the talks on January 29, Al-Hadath news channel reported.

According to Al-Hadath, Sabra insisted that the delegation would head for Geneva "only after all obstacles that hamper the start of the negotiation process have been eliminated."
