US Vice President Joe Biden in talks with Rada Speaker Volodymyr Hroysman in Kiev reiterated US support for Ukraine’s reforms and the country’s stand on the Minsk agreements, the White House said in a read-out.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — On Monday, Biden arrived in Kiev and held talks with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, while on Tuesday he addressed the Rada.

"The Vice President expressed strong support for Ukrainian economic reforms, as welcomed the Speaker's support for constitutional amendments to reform the judiciary and empower local communities," the White House stated on Tuesday.

The two leaders also agreed on the need for Moscow to fully implement the Minsk agreements, the readout said.

Biden also announced a new round of some $190 million in assistance to Ukraine to support the country’s fight against corruption, as well as to strengthen its energy security.
