MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his Iranian counterpart Javad Zarif held a phone conversation Monday on the Syrian conflict settlement, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
"During the conversation, views were exchanged on the situation in Syria in the context of fighting terrorism and contributing to the political settlement in this country, including through mobilizing international support by involving the major countries in the region," the ministry said in a statement.
The talk was initiated by the Russian side.
