MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russian President Vladimir Putin has no plans of holding bilateral meetings with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko on the sidelines of the Normandy Quartet in Paris on October 2, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Thursday.
“That’s not on the schedule,” Peskov told RIA Novosti.
Earlier on Thursday, the deputy head of the Poroshenko Administration, Kostiantyn Yelisieiev, said that Kiev was reviewing the issue of a bilateral meeting between Putin and Poroshenko.
“As of today, there is definitely a request from the Russian side to hold a bilateral meeting with the Ukrainian president, and it’s currently being reviewed,” Yelisieiev said.
On Friday, the so-called Normandy Quartet of Ukraine, France, Germany, and Russia will meet in Paris to continue talks and discuss additional measures to implement Minsk peace agreements reached in February.
