The historic agreement was reached in Vienna on Tuesday after over two weeks of strenuous talks following several years of intermittent negotiations. It will limit Iran’s nuclear work in exchange for the easing of international economic restrictions.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Iran's enriched uranium stocks will be limited by the number of centrifuges, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said on his Twitter account Tuesday.

The heavy water reactors at the Arak facilities in Iran would no longer produce enough plutonium for weapons and that a mechanism is now in place for verifying that Iran is observing the agreement, he added.

The final agreement on Tehran’s nuclear program takes into account France’s demands in the limitations of enrichment activities, Laurent Fabius said.

“France played a key role, a key role in three points that were included in the adopted agreement…The first point includes Iran’s nuclear research that will be limited in order to guarantee that Tehran will be unable to quickly accumulate the necessary materials to create a nuclear weapon,” Fabius said.
