MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On Sunday, the majority of Greek voters said "No" in a referendum on the creditors’ bailout plan, which sparked yet again speculation about the country’s possible exit from the Eurozone.
"[It is] clearly in Britain’s best interests," Cameron was quoted as saying by the channel ITV.
The broadcaster also quoted a prime minister's spokeswoman as saying that the United Kingdom supported a 28-member European Union and called on the parties "to find a sustainable solution" to Greece’s debt crisis.
Greece failed to make a loan repayment to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in June, effectively defaulting on its IMF debt.
The country is struggling to repay its $350-billion debt, seeking to restructure its obligations and negotiate better conditions for repayment with its major international creditors.
