The talks between Tehran and international mediators on the Iranian nuclear program have reached its final stage, the deal could be struck now if there is a possibility, EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini said Sunday.

VIENNA (Sputnik) — Mogherini said that the decision on whether the final deal could be achieved, would be made in the next few days.

"I think this is really the last mile of these negotiations," Mogherini told reporters in Vienna.

The atmosphere at the negotiations on the Iranian nuclear program currently being held in Vienna is constructive, Mogherini said.

"If the deal could be closed, it is now," Mogherini said. "It is getting to the last hours, last days, very last days."

The EU foreign policy chief ruled out the possibility of "plan B" during Iran nuclear talks.

"If you work on plan A, you stick with the plan A," Mogherini told reporters.

Earlier in the day, US Secretary of State John Kerry said that the P5+1 ministers were coming back to Vienna later on Sunday to finalize the nuclear deal.

"I welcome the ministers coming in tonight, and tomorrow morning starts our common work," Mogherini said.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is expected to join the talks later in the day, according to a foreign ministry source.

Iran and a group of the P5+1 countries, comprising Russia, China, the United States, France, the United Kingdom and Germany, are currently holding talks in the Austrian capital ahead of reaching the final deal on Tehran's nuclear program.

In April, the negotiating parties reached a preliminary political framework agreement with Iran. The deadline for a comprehensive Iran nuclear deal had initially been set for July 30, but the talks were extended until July 7.
