VIENNA (Sputnik) — Two days ahead of the deadline, most of the P5+1 foreign ministers have left Vienna in anticipation of returning when the deal is finalized. Remaining experts and political directors are currently working out the last details of the agreement.
Tuesday has been set as the deadline for resolving the decade-long issue of Iran's nuclear program, but the deal is likely to take a few days longer than the June 30 cutoff date.
On Sunday, EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini said there may be an extension of the nuclear talks, though it would be "days, not more."
In April, the P5+1 group of international mediators comprising Russia, China, France, the United Kingdom, the United States and Germany worked out a framework agreement with Iran on managing the Islamic Republic’s nuclear energy program.
