Kiev's position on the Minsk peace accords gives no grounds for optimism, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin said on Monday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Karasin made the statement during a meeting with Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) envoy Martin Sajdik in regard to trilateral reconciliation talks on the Ukrainian crisis.

"The Russian side reaffirmed its readiness to fully contribute to the implementation of what was agreed in Minsk. It was stressed that the position of Kiev on these agreements does not give grounds for optimism," the ministry quoted Karasin as saying in a statement.
