Russia and Monaco have agreed to boost cooperation in economics, environmental protection and tourism, the two countries’ leaders said in a joint statement after bilateral talks.

MOSCOW, October 5 (RIA Novosti) – Russia and Monaco have agreed to boost cooperation in economics, environmental protection and tourism, the two countries’ leaders said in a joint statement after bilateral talks.

President Vladimir Putin and Prince of Monaco Albert II, on his first official visit to Russia, held talks in the Kremlin on Friday. The two leaders expressed satisfaction with the current level of collaboration and voiced hope for its further development.

The upcoming opening of a new honorary consulate of Monaco in the southern Russian city of Rostov-on-Don will help deepen bilateral ties, the statement said.
