If you walk just a few kilometers from any large Russian city, you have a pretty good chance of finding yourself in a typical Russian village, where cottages pretty much look like doll houses. Sloping roofs, bright details on colorful facades, different patterns and curly carved ornaments on window shutters will definitely win your heart.
