Seal cubs have been a lucrative target for the fashion industry for decades because of their snow-white fur. They live in the northern Atlantic, the White, Barents, Kara and Greenland Sea.

On March 15, the world observes International Day of Action for the Seals, aimed at raising awareness over the slaughter of seal pups. Demonstrators all over the world will take to the streets to protest against their hunting and call on their governments to put an end to the violent practice.
