MOSCOW, August 25 (RIA Novosti) - The European Federation of National Youth Orchestras' annual music festival, held in the European Union since 1999, will be hosted for the first time this year by a Russian city, Surgut.
Surgut officials said the ten-day event, opening Thursday night, would bring together ten youth chamber and symphony orchestras from across Russia and Western Europe.
It will include about twenty concerts and culminate with galas in Surgut and Moscow, where all the participants will perform together.
