Russian submarines in the Mediterranean Sea unleashed Kalibr cruise missiles against Daesh (ISIL/ISIS) targets in Syria as Russian Defense Ministry chastised the US for supporting terrorist groups in the war-torn country.

    Cruise Missile Warning

Russia's Black Sea Fleet submarines deployed in the Mediterranean Sea delivered two Kalibr cruise missile strikes against Daesh targets in Syria, while Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov announced that Russian Aerospace Forces and Navy continue to support the Syrian army offensive against terrorists entrenched in the Euphrates River valley.

Konashenkov also made it clear that any attacks by terrorist forces originating in areas controlled by US military will be swiftly repelled by the Russian Aerospace Forces.
