Netizens Scratch Heads Over 'Mysterious Creatures' Caught on Camera Near Waterfall in Iceland

Iceland's unique nature, landscape, and climate make this North European country a truly enigmatic, even mysterious land, where Norse myths still seem to be alive. Even a percentage of locals, albeit small, still believe in the "huldufólk" or "hidden people" – mystical creatures that some claim to have encountered.

A puzzling video has emerged online showing strange shapes spotted on the rocks near Dettifoss, a waterfall in Iceland.

The uploader of the video, who only spotted the dark, bizarrely-moving "creatures" when re-watching the video, admitted feeling weird and uneasy while visiting the waterfall and asked his subscribers what they thought about the phenomenon.

Netizens, however, mostly dismissed the supernatural origins of the "creatures", believing them to be either some form of vegetation on the rocks moving in the wind or simply the hair of other tourists taking pictures behind the rocks.
