Nightmare Muppet From Deep Sea: Eel Inflates Enormously to Scare You Off

Life is tough in the ocean, and at the bottom, it becomes really scary. In order to survive, sea dwellers have to adapt – some have big teeth, some are good at camouflage – and many have both these features.

The Nautilus team researchers shared a video of Gulper Eel, which tried to scare off the camera. This little guy was like a bomb, ready to explode in a moment. The fish inflated and showed its insanely enormous jaws, which made it look like an evil Muppet from some kid's nightmare.
