Incredible Rescue Operation For Injured Elephant Trapped in Indian Well

In a heart-warming video, which has recently emerged online, a team of rescuers can be seen saving the poor animal that couldn’t get out out a six-meter pit near the village of Surajpur, Chattisgarh state, due to its wounds.

Running away from local residents, an adult female elephant fell into an empty well and injured its front leg. A group of kind-hearted animal lovers couldn't leave the tusker in need, so they did what was possible to save it. The rescuers dug a path to the well and used two cranes to haul the animal out. The entire operation took them 36 hours.

After the elephant's wounds were treated, the animal was released back into the wild.
