ANKARA (Sputnik) — The Court of Istanbul on Wednesday ordered the release of six individuals, accused of being involved in the June 2016 terrorist attack at the international Ataturk Airport in Istanbul, on bail, local media reported.

According to the Anadolu news agency, the case involves 46 suspects, four of whom are at large, with as many as 36 people still in detention.

Citizens of Algeria, Egypt, Russia, Tunisia, Turkey and Syria are among the suspects, the news outlet continued, adding that three of those who were released earlier in the day were foreigners.

The Turkish prosecutor's office has prepared an indictment demanding that the accused be sentenced to life imprisonment for the total period of 3,342 years.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan then stated that nationals of Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan were involved in the terrorist act, while the attack itself was organized by Daesh terrorist group.
