Russia to Allow Citizens of 18 States to Visit Vladivostok With E-Visas

Russian Foreign Ministry said that Moscow will allow the citizens of 18 countries to receive e-visas to enter its free port of Vladivostok starting from Tuesday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) Moscow will allow the citizens of 18 countries to receive e-visas to enter its free port of Vladivostok starting from Tuesday, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a Monday statement.

"On August 8, 2017, a special purpose website of the Russian Foreign Ministry aimed at issuing of e-visas to foreign citizens to visit the territory of the free port of Vladivostok will start its work. The website's URL is http://electronic-visa.kdmid.ru/," the statement said.

According to the statement, the citizens of Algeria, Bahrain, Brunei, China, India, Iran, Japan, Kuwait, Mexico, Morocco, North Korea, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Tunisia, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates can apply for e-visas.

The Russian ministry added that the nationals of the above mentioned nations, would be able to use e-visas for entering Russia through the Vladivostok air checkpoint (Knevichy) and the Vladivostok maritime checkpoint.

"The e-visas are issued for a period of 30 days with an allowed term of stay of eight days starting from the day of entry on the Russian Federation territory," the statement read.

The citizens of the aforementioned countries would be able to receive e-visas within four calendar days.
