Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger: Chinese Runner Beats Jet

Subscribe
A very unusual competition of man versus machine took place in China. One of the country’s fastest sprinters, Zhang Peimeng, challenged a FTC-2000 fighter-trainer in a 100-meter run and won!

On July 16, Peimeng was a guest in the TV show "Cheers Science" where he demonstrated the immensity of human power by demonstrating his abilities against a Chinese Guizhou JL-9 jet trainer, also known as the FTC-2000 Mountain Eagle. The athlete, whose personal record on a 100-meter track is exactly 10 seconds, was quicker than his "rival." The race was broadcast on China Central Television.
