On April 24, Armenians in Europe and America commemorated the 102nd anniversary of the Armenian genocide. Thousands of demonstrators marched to Turkish embassies in Paris, Buenos Aires and Los Angeles.

The mass killings of an estimated 1.5 million Armenians took place in the Ottoman Empire and its successor state, the Republic of Turkey, from 1915 for eight years. Similar rallies were also held in other parts of the world, commemorating the victims of the massacre and calling for its recognition as genocide.
