Gamer Johannes Loeffelmann smashed the Guinness World Record for the longest ever VR video game marathon in Vienna. Equipped with a PlayStation 4 Pro and PlayStation VR glasses, the 31-year-old gamer played "Job Simulator: The 2050 Archives" for 28 hours, 43 minutes and 24 seconds.

The world record attempt was carried out Tuesday, April 11, as part of a marketing campaign held by the electronics retailer "Saturn" in the Austrian capital and was certified Wednesday by an official Guinness World Records referee. The previous record for the longest video game marathon on a virtual reality game system was set in London on January 27, 2017, by Georgie Barrat, who spent 25 hours, 24 minutes in VR.
