UKIP’s Post-Brexit “Death Spiral”|Damning Reports Highlight Further Nauru Abuses

After winning their ultimate goal, of a UK exit from the EU, the UKIP now find themselves without a leader and facing continued controversy; and, Amnesty International have released a damning report accusing the Australian government of “blatantly flouting international law” with their treatment of refugees in Nauru.

The UK's independence party, UKIP, is on the hunt for a new leader after Diane James quit after only eighteen days. With one potential leader out after being hospitalised after an altercation with a fellow MEP, could Scotland's only UKIP MEP David Coburn step up to the plate? We speak to David Coburn MEP about a potential leadership bid and the future of the UKIP.

Amnesty International have released another damning report highlighting the plight of refugees in Australia’s offshore detention center on the pacific island of Nauru, stating conditions are so bad that many are resorting to self-harm and even suicide. The report comes just 10 days after leaked reports from the UN’s Refugee agency told of the extraordinary levels of mental health disorders among those being held. We speak to an Iranian refugee in Nauru, Eli Shakiba.
