First Delivery of Russian MS-21-300 Plane to Take Place in Late 2018
MOSCOW (Sputnik) The first flight of new Russian MC-21-300 passenger plane is expected to take place in the first half of 2017, Yury Slyusar, the president of the manufacturing company United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), said Friday.

The UAC has previously said that the first flight was expected in December 2016.

"We expect the first flight of MC-21 aircraft to take place in the first half of 2017," Slyusar told the RBC television channel.

The MC-21 is a twin-engine short- and mid-range airliner with a capacity for 150-212 passengers. The first planes in the new series are set to be delivered in the end of 2018. The presentation of the aircraft took place earlier in June in the Russian city of Irkutsk.
