The man who revolutionized science and opened a new epoch in civilization, Yuri Gagarin is depicted in the helmet with the "USSR" inscription he wore during his history-making flight aboard the Vostok-1 spacecraft on April 12, 1961.

The estimated size of the portrait is about 100 meters.

On April 12, Russia celebrates Cosmonautics Day.
