MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The troops practiced erecting field communication centers and transmitting data over secure radio and satellite links during the drills.
"An autonomous multilevel network, which provides control over the joint force grouping across both open and restricted communication channels, was created. The communication system's resistance to radio electronic disturbance was tested… Countermeasures were developed by the sabotage-reconnaissance groups against the simulated enemy," Igor Muginov said.
He added that every stage of the exercises was carried out with the constant interference of the opponent's electronic warfare, aimed at disabling its communication systems, as well as substituting and distorting the transmitted information.
