GENEVA (Sputnik) — The intra-Syrian talks on the conflict-torn country's reconciliation resumed on March 14 and are scheduled to last until March 24. De Mistura said earlier that the next round of proximity talks was due in April and would focus on political transition in Syria.
"We have moved at the pace that we wanted to move at this round. We have presented serious working documents, and we are pressing for the regime to present same documents," Kodmani told reporters after a meeting with UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura.
De Mistura said he had been impressed by "substantive" documents produced by the HNC.
Kodmani also said that the HNC was demanding that the Syrian government's delegation at the Geneva talks abide by the rules set by UN Security Council resolutions on Syria.
"Terms of negotiations are very clear, they are set by the Security Council, and they indicate that this is about political transition… We expect that the government delegation will be playing by these rules," she said.
