MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russia has filed a lawsuit against Ukraine on Kiev's $3 billion debt, Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said Wednesday.
"Today, Russia's Finance Ministry filed a lawsuit against Ukraine with the London High Court," Siluanov told reporters.
According to the minister, the lawsuit is a last-resort measure as Kiev was not ready to negotiate a mutually acceptable compromise.
"We have repeatedly stated our readiness to discuss the possibility of a bilateral settlement outside court on Ukraine's obligations to Russia," he said.
