Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said that new Russia-made robot will be able to carry out spacewalk without a space suit and to conduct complex operations on board a spacecraft under control of a cosmonaut.

KLIMOVSK (Moscow Region) (Sputnik) — Russia is developing a remote controlled robot to carry out tasks at Russia's planned national space station, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said Saturday.

Such a robot will be able to carry out spacewalk without a space suit and to conduct complex operations on board a spacecraft under control of a cosmonaut, the deputy prime minister added.

Earlier in the day, the Russian scientists demonstrated two prototypes of anthropomorphic platforms for carrying out complicated tasks in copying, supervisory control and autonomous modes as well as for processing systems of dynamic equilibrium, dynamic step and complex coordination by an operator.
