MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Airbus А321, operated by the Russian airline Kogalymavia and en route from the Egyptian resort of Sharm El-Sheikh to St. Petersburg, crashed in the Sinai Peninsula, killing all 224 people on board. The October 31 tragedy is the largest air disaster in Russian history.
"Of course, this is a big crime against humanity. This is not an attack against a Russian plane, this is an attack against all of us," Davutoglu said in an interview with the CNN broadcaster Monday, answering a question whether the plane crash could be viewed as a turning point in the activities of the Islamic State militant group.
The Egypt-led international investigation into the A321 crash, involving neither the United Kingdom nor the United States, said that the inquiry urgently needs additional international assistance to determine the cause of the crash.
