MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Cairo is open for cooperation with Russian experts in the investigation of a Russian passenger plane crash in Egypt, provides all possible assistance, Egyptian Ambassador to Russia Mohammed Badri said Monday.
"For the past two days, Egypt has hosted a large number of experts and specialists from Russia," Badri said in an interview with Rossiya-24 television.
"The entire Egyptian nation has expressed readiness to facilitate and assist in the investigation," the ambassador stressed.
On Saturday, a Kogalymavia Airbus A321 plane carrying 217 passengers and seven crew members crashed in the Sinai Peninsula en route from the Egyptian resort city of Sharm El-Sheikh to St. Petersburg. All people on board were killed in what is the largest air disaster in Russian and Soviet history.
