MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian President Vladimir Putin has accepted Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s invitation to visit Japan, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Monday, adding that he hopes for no more communicative “glitches” will happen between the two countries.

"As for the Russian President's visit to Japan… as you know, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has invited Vladimir Putin to visit [Japan]. The invitation was accepted,” Lavrov said after the talks with his Japanese counterpart Fumio Kishida.
The date of the visit will be set by Tokyo, Lavrov said.
“As we have already announced with Mr. Kishida, we agreed to renew a dialogue regarding the peace talks on the deputy ministers level,” Lavrov said.
A large pause between the negotiation rounds was due to the problems on the Japanese side, the Russian foreign minister said.
“We hope that now the dynamics [of the talks] will resume and there will be no more glitches,” Lavrov added.
