Russia’s Northern Fleet Forces Testing Combat Readiness in Snap Drills

Last week, forces of Russia's Northern Fleet conducted a snap combat readiness exercise in the Arctic region.

Troops were faced with severe weather conditions, with snow reaching three meters in some areas.

The drills were held on land, sea and in air. They involved 38,000 personnel, 3,360 combat vehicles and military equipment, 41 warships, 15 submarines, and 110 military aircraft.

The exercises were designed to assess thecombat readiness of the Northern Fleet forces in the Arctic region.
