The minister arrived in Israel on November 23 for a three-day visit, during which he met with Israeli officials and attended a roundtable discussion organized by the UK Israel Tech Hub, a program of the British Embassy dedicated to enhancing partnerships between Israeli and British technological entities, said the statement published on the UK government official website Thursday.
Israeli and British governments have launched a 1.2 million pounds ($1.89 million) academic cyberresearch fund, which the minister believes would deepen bilateral relations between the countries and their cybercooperation.
UK Israel Tech Hub director Naomi Krieger Carmy stated that "British companies can gain a global advantage by tapping into Israel's tech ecosystem," as quoted by The Times of Israel on Thursday. She stated that the program's focus was showing Israeli companies Britain's opportunities, as well as promoting partnership and making connections.
