MOSCOW, October 18 (RIA Novosti) – A teenager in central Russia has accidentally killed his younger brother with his father’s gun, investigators said Thursday.
The incident occurred Wednesday in the village of Trubino in the Tver Region, north of Moscow.
The Investigative Committee said that while playing with his nine-year-old brother, a 14-year-old boy took his father’s gun, which he thought was not loaded, pointed it at his brother and pulled the trigger.
The nine-year-old sustained an exit wound to the left clavicle and died on the way to hospital, investigators said.
A manslaughter investigation is now underway.
