Russia’s government published an approved draft agreement Wednesday on visa-free travel with South Korea.

MOSCOW, September 18 (RIA Novosti) – Russia’s government published an approved draft agreement Wednesday on visa-free travel with South Korea.

According to the document, which has yet to be signed by both sides, Russians and South Koreans would be allowed to visit each others' countries for up to 60 days without a visa.

Russians would be able to spend no more than 90 days per 180-day period in South Korea and vice versa, according to the draft document released on the online library of government documents.

The new regulations would apply to those traveling for tourism, business and personal purposes, as well as those participating in scientific, cultural and sports events.

Russia’s ambassador to South Korea said earlier this year that if signed and ratified, the document will come into force in early 2014.
