An exhibition of sand sculptures dedicated to the history of Russia opened in southern Moscow illustrating important dates, cultural figures like Tchaikovsky, Pushkin and Tolstoy, as well as some well-known buildings like St. Basil’s Cathedral, which stands on Red Square. Professional sculptors from Russia, Spain, Ireland, Italy, Belarus and Ukraine were busy doing the finishing touches to their sand sculptures which will be on display through September.
