Mexican Navy Forces in the Caribbean Sea have detained a yacht with two Russian nationals on board that was reported stolen from a U.S. owner, local media reported on Tuesday, quoting the country’s Navy Secretariat.

An anonymous report about the Baby J yacht, renamed the Anna, sailing off the coast of the Isla Mujeres municipality, eastern Mexico, was received by the local Navy Forces on Saturday, reports said.

The yacht’s model, color and serial number coincided with those of the vessel that had been reported stolen from Florida, the United States, last month.

Two Russian nationals, Oleg Denisov, 44, and Vladimir Galkin, 38, were onboard the yacht when it was detained, the reports said. Both have been detained and taken to the city of Cancun for investigation.
