An Islamic Jihad militant was killed in the Gaza Strip late on Tuesday in a joint operation of the Israel Air Force and Israel Security Agency (ISA), Israeli media reported citing the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

At least ten were injured in the missile strikes that the IDF said thwarted plans for a major attack on the Israel-Egypt border, Haaretz reported.

Palestinian news agency WAFA confirmed that an Israeli reconnaissance plane on Tuesday fired a missile at a motorcycle, killing a Palestinian in Dowar Abu Sharkh area, in the northern Gaza Strip.

On Sunday and Monday, Palestinians fired two rockets into Israel. No damage was caused. No Gaza groups claimed responsibility, the Jerusalem Post reported.

"The IDF will not tolerate any attempt to harm Israelis and IDF soldiers and will continue to operate against any element which exercises terror against Israel," a statement from Israel’s military said as quoted by the Ynet website.
